Chef Jade!
Born and raised in the Philippines, Chef Jade’s passion for cooking began at an early age. Her summers were spent in her aunt’s eatery, preparing fresh vegetables and learning the importance of using the best local ingredients. At just 12 years old, Jade took on the responsibility of cooking and managing household meals for her younger siblings, sparking her lifelong dedication to nourishing others through food.
Driven by her dream to become a chef, Jade pursued a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management in the Philippines. After graduation, she embarked on a culinary adventure in the United States, completing a year-long internship at The Meritage Resort in Napa Valley. Immersed in the region’s rich, seasonal produce and modern Italian cooking techniques.
Jade’s next step was joining the world-renowned kitchen of The French Laundry, where she sharpened her skills, working alongside some of the finest chefs in the world. It was here that she learned the power of precision, artistry, and an unwavering commitment to quality.
Now, Chef Jade invites you to experience Carabao, a celebration of her Filipino roots infused with Napa Valley’s bounty. At Carabao, each dish reflects the warmth and vibrancy of Filipino cuisine, reimagined with a modern twist, using the freshest local ingredients.

We’re excited to share that our brick-and-mortar restaurant in Napa Valley is in the works – we’ve found our home! While we finish construction, you can still enjoy our classic Filipino dishes through DoorDash, Thursday to Sunday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., or pick them up from our Ghost Kitchen at 1760 Industrial Way Ste 2, Napa, CA 94558. We’re also happy to take bookings for private catering and events.
